This year’s Gartner Application Strategies & Solutions Summit was chock-full of useful information on best practices for developing and architecting APIs and how to best go about integrating your application ecosystem. As finding an effective way to integrate the hundreds (or even thousands) of APIs that your company leverages becomes more and more difficult, solutions like Cloud Elements become essential for reducing the strain on your developers’ time and energy. After all, wouldn’t you rather your development team focus the majority of their efforts on innovation and not building (and maintaining) point-to-point integrations?
Our CPO, Ross Garrett, discussed how the largest privately-owned spirits company in the world, Bacardi, leverages the Cloud Elements platform via its partnership with SAP to reduce uptime and increase productivity. To clarify, SAP resells the Cloud Elements product as Open Connectors, a virtualized API integration platform that enables simple one-to-many connections packaged with capabilities such as maintenance, bulk data movement, and orchestration, which may not be available in the native endpoints. We also offer extensibility, meaning anyone can build their own robust APIs if they’re not already available in our catalog of more than 200 connectors (we call them Elements.)
Here are some of the key points you’ll take away from the presentation:
- Why API integration is becoming more and more necessary in the modern app ecosystem
- What businesses without effective API integration will experience
- How the Cloud Elements platform can help, and how SAP and Bacardi leverage it
- Use cases for the Cloud Elements and Open Connectors platforms
- Key benefits and differentiators of our API integration platform and how they drive business growth and productivity
