$13 Million Series B: Fueling the Startup Fire

Today is a proud day for Cloud Elements. Today marks the next chapter for our Denver-based startup as we leap into acceleration mode as one of the fastest growing API Management vendors, with a $13M Series B fueling the fire. Since launching the first ever 100% API-based platform for integration two years ago, Cloud Elements’ has increased revenue by nearly 40% quarter-over-quarter for 8 consecutive quarters. The momentum behind our growth has led to a Series B funding round, led by our newest investor, Harbert Growth Partners, taking our total funding to date to $21.2 million.

Mark Geene, CEO and co-founder, shares “My vision for Cloud Elements is to really make it faster and easier for developers to connect and work with all of the APIs they use. There’s been an exponential proliferation of APIs over the past few years, where developers are being overrun by millions of APIs, each new API that’s published is like an island of data and they don’t work out of the box with all the other APIs.” Geene continues, “Our vision is to give developers an API Integration platform that makes working with APIs, either to build new apps or to run their company, work together and integrate seamlessly.”

We’re excited to support their next-generation initiatives for the modern business and are excited to see where they lead.”

Plans for the newly secured funding include:

  • Continued momentum in product development, adding to the existing catalog of 120+ pre-built connectors and extending the platform of API-based integration services
  • Further focus on our “Customer's First” core value by significantly expanding  our customer success, support and delivery teams
  • Investments in sales, marketing and brand reach
